Schwabach, November 2009 PSIIX: New IGBTs in ECO-PAC™-housing

PSIIX-series with XPT extreme light punch through transistors of IXYS

POWERSEM extends the product portfolio of the compact IGBT modules with the new PSIIX-series. They contain the new XPT transistor chips ("eXtreme light Punch Through") of IXYS.

Those IGBT transistors with positive temperature coefficient are designed for for easy parallel use, and combine low switching losses with low static losses (on-state-voltage). Powersem ennobles those new chips with the established ECO-PAC™2-housing, leading to a full 3-phase inverter module. The ECO-PAC design allows the realization of both a space-saving as well as a economically priced inverter.

The PSIIX   IGBT series starts with the module type PSIIX20/12. Samples are available through semimart from now on. Prices on request.
